Fault Tolerant Administrators using EMS

Created on: Aug 5, 2009 1:35 AM

Hi,

We have setup a fault tolerant TIBCO Administration domain using EMS. We have set the EMS servers up using the fault tolerant configuration as described in the TIBCO guides. We also set up the Administrators as Primary & Secondary, even though the documentation says that they really act like two primary servers. The problem we're having is that we can only see the status of the domains components (machines, applications etc) on one of the Administrator GUI's at a time. One will show that machines & applications are up and running OK whilst the other will show the machines and applications but their status is unknown. Is there some special configuration I need to setup to get both Administrator GUI's to show correct statuses? It almost looks like the HawkAgent is down on one of the servers but it is not. We are using EMS 5.1 & Administrator 5.6.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

As you have configured Fault Tolerant then you would be able to track from one admin server only since only when the

primary server is down would the secondary server start taking in requests and would be upa nd running

If you would have configure Load balanced server then you would be able to see the status of servers and applications in

each of the admins
